ART GALLERY – Brussels
The new KIN Gallery occupies a storefront of an existing building. Oblivious to the curvilinear layout of the ground floor, the project is defined by the white box inserted in the middle of the space. The box is carefully positioned to conceal technical facilities on the fringes, while the overlapping of the existing, as-found perimeter and the regular geometrical figure makes two distinctive exhibition spaces—inside and outside of the box. This simple intervention gives different possibilities for exhibiting and experiencing art.
